As a result of all this, we are excited to announce that we are currently seeking two new team members to join our team at Yellowgrid. Specifically, we are looking to fill two roles within our accounting and DevOps departments. The accounts position can be on a part-time or a full-time basis, depending on the experience of the candidate.
DevOps:
As part of this team, you will play a key role in managing our cloud infrastructure and systems, ensuring our software products are delivered efficiently and effectively.
The role requires core knowledge of networking, Linux, web development, PHP, C#, and databases such as MySQL. If you have a demonstrable interest and knowledge of Linux, and perhaps an interest in scripting and coding, we would love to hear from you.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- A level or equivalent grades
- Demonstrating interest and knowledge of Linux
- Interest in scripting/coding
- Self-motivated individual
As an apprentice, you will have the chance to work alongside experienced professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience in developing new software products while also maintaining and supporting our existing cloud-based infrastructure. You will be an integral part of a team that is passionate about delivering innovative solutions to our customers.
Accounts:
To be considered for this position, candidates should have a strong educational background, with excellent GCSE grades and potentially A levels, particularly in Maths and English. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also a must. For the part-time role, previous experience in accounts is preferred.
Almost all of our invoice creation and delivery processes are automated, with only 1% of them being done manually. We use Xero as our accounting software to manage our accounts, and we handle thousands of invoices each month.
The role will include the following, as ability and knowledge is developed:
- Communicating with customers via email and phone
- Paying supplier invoices
- Reconciling the bank
- Making international payments
- Assisting the sales team with customer account queries and perhaps generating quotes
- Reviewing credit limits
- Producing management reports
- General assistance with the day to day running of the office
