It is equipped with 2.8-inch colour display, 2.4-inch colour side display, multiple programmable buttons, and an easy-to-use interface. Fanvil X4U V2 can connect to EHS headset via EHS cable, highlights Wi-Fi connectivity – via Wi-Fi dongle, and can support Bluetooth via Bluetooth dongle.
Also, with support for Power over Ethernet (PoE), you can say goodbye to messy cords and complicated installation.
Differences:
A big difference is the conference organiser which used to support only 3-way conference calls for the first version of the phone. Fanvil X4U V2 allows you to invite up to 5 people to join your call. This feature allows more team members to communicate and collaborate effectively, regardless of their location.
The main difference between Fanvil X4U and Fanvil X4U V2 is that the V2 model can function as an SBC (Session Border Controller). How is this possible?
It’s simple. All you need is the latest 3CX update (Version 6) and your trusty X4U V2 – no extra accessories required.
The X4U V2 has the SBC software seamlessly integrated into its firmware, establishing its dominance as a force to be reckoned within the field of communication technology.
As it may already be clear – the second version operates with a brand-new chipset. Having a new chipset requires a different firmware than the X4U one. Therefore, you will need to select X4U V2 when provisioning the phone to an extension on 3CX as shown on the image below.
Is X4U V2 worth it?
Absolutely! In summary, Fanvil X4U was already a hit, and version 2 is almost the same, it aims to keep users happy but at the same time it is a fresh and exciting new product. So, it feels like adding a cherry on top of an already delicious cake.
