Fair Usage Policy

We are committed to providing our customers with high-quality SIP trunking and VoIP services. This Fair Use Policy (FUP) is designed to prevent fraud and abuse of our services by a small number of users.

1. Inclusive minutes

• Monthly Minutes: Each SIP channel includes 5000 minutes per month to geographic landlines (01, 02 and 03) plus 2000 minutes to the 4 main UK mobile operators (EE, o2, Three, Vodafone). These additional minutes are available for use during the current billing cycle and will not carry over to the next cycle.

2. Use Limitations

• Fair Use Definition: These services are intended for regular commercial use but is not suitable for operations that require excessive continuous call sessions, such as call centres or telemarketing firms.

• Prohibited Uses: The following uses are not allowed:

  • • Operation of call centre activities.
  • • Telemarketing or any other extensive calling operation.
  • • Auto-dialing or “robocalls”.

• Excessive Use: Usage of our services that significantly exceeds normal usage patterns over any month or is inconsistent with typical customer activities, will be considered “Excessive Use”. This includes, but is not limited to, continuous operation beyond the set fair use limits, frequent or lengthy calls that suggest automated or operational abuse.

3. Monitoring and Enforcement

• Usage Review: We regularly monitor customer usage patterns to identify potential excessive usage, abuse or fraudulent behaviour. If usage exceeds the fair use limits or violates the terms of this policy, Yellowgrid reserves the right to take necessary actions.

4. Changes to the Fair Use Policy

• Policy Updates: Yellowgrid reserves the right to make changes to this Fair Use Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy on our website.

5. Master Service Agreement

• If the Customer's usage of Unlimited Services significantly exceeds estimated usage patterns over any month or is inconsistent with typical usage patterns, the Customer's usage will be deemed excessive or unreasonable.
• If the Customer's usage is excessive or unreasonable, Yellowgrid will notify the Customer of a breach of the FUP. The Customer will be asked to cease or modify their usage to comply with Yellowgrid's Fair Use Policy.
• If the Customer's excessive or unreasonable usage persists after receiving a request to cease or modify such usage, Yellowgrid reserve the right to suspend, modify, or restrict the Customer's use of the Services; or revoke the Customer's access to the Services.
